Softball

I have been playing softball since I was 6 years old and have worked my way up all the way to the collegiate level. Softball has taught me many traits and abilities like time management, focus, and determination. Throughout my years of playing, I have met so many amazing players that have shaped me into who I am today and have taught me how to be a good teammate and work with a team. I have played on my school’s varsity softball team all four years of high school and I was recently selected as defensive player of the year for our 2021 season.

Some of my other acheviments are listed below:

  • 2021 Lakes Valley 1st Team All Conference

  • 2021 All District Team

  • 2021 All Regional Team

  • 2020 Softball Factory Academic All-American

  • 2020 Pre-season All American

  • 2020 Great Lakes All Region Player

Volleyball

I began playing volleyball in 4th grade and have just completed my last season in the fall. Volleyball is the perfect fast paced game and is truly one of my favorite sports. Also, volleyball requires an immense amount of teamwork and has taught me to put my trust in others and push myself to be the best I can for the team. I played two years on JV, being captain my sophomore year, and two years on varsity. I also played club for four years and have been captain on my team for three of those years.

Band

I started playing the flute in 6th grade middle school band and I am currently in my high school’s symphonic band. I originally started playing the flute because my older sister chose this instrument and it inspired me to do the same. The more I play, the more my love for music grew. Playing in a band has taught me the importance of persistence and how to take constructive criticism in order to perform my best. As I move onto college, I hope to continue performing in a community band.

School Organizations

My junior year, I was accepted into the National Honor Society and the Link Crew Mentorship program at my school. In the National Honor Society I participate in volunteering both inside and outside of school as well as fundraisers to help those in my community. This has been a great opportunity to get involved and stay connected with my community. As a leader in Link Crew, I help mentor incoming freshmen as they navigate through high school. I love taking on this leadership position because I’m able to represent our school and showcase all we have to offer to help students succeed.

Hobbies

When I’m not playing sports or working on my homework, I’m most likely using one of my creative outlets to relieve some stress. Some activities I like to participate in during my free time are running, painting, reading, ceramics, listening to music, and hanging out with friends and family. Even though my life can get very busy, it is important to me that I make time to do some of the other things I love.
